Khumoetsile Seamogano is a writer, researcher, and curator based in Botswana, and the founder of Girl Gone Authentic, an artist-led editorial practice devoted to craft, ritual, and the cultural lives of objects.
Her work treats writing as both method and material. Through close observation, archival research, and narrative form, she translates traditions into texts, objects, and experiences that extend beyond documentation.
Her practice is rooted in continuity—how heritage moves, adapts, and remains legible within contemporary life.
Spanning editorial development, cultural research, and experiential storytelling, she collaborates with artisans, designers, and cultural practitioners to create spaces where endangered crafts and inherited knowledge are held with care, restraint, and authorship.
Before founding Girl Gone Authentic in 2017, Seamogano worked across Southeast Asia, contributing to early-stage startups in content strategy, digital marketing, and platform development. This background informs her editorial discipline and her understanding of visibility, narrative, and scale—now applied with intention rather than speed.
Alongside writing and curation, she develops small-batch objects and publications grounded in ethical production and traditional craftsmanship—works that privilege quiet utility, material intelligence, and longevity.
Girl Gone Authentic operates as both archive and living practice: a site for cultural translation, preservation, and reflection.
